Peacock wrasse
Peacock wrasse has flat, elongated and cylindrical body, with large fleshy mouth.
There are differences between adult males and females. The male is larger and more colorful of blue-green colors while females are of
gray-olive color. Among juvenile males and mature females
there is almost no difference in color. On its back is a long fin that goes almost to the tail. The tail is triangular and without notches.
It grows to 44 cm in length and about 0.75 kg.
Peacock wrasse lives along the rocky bottoms and bottoms covered with algae at depths of 5 to 50 m. Its favorite food is worms,
crustaceans and molluscs.

Spljoštenog je, duguljastog i vretenastog tijela, velikih mesnatih usta.
Postoje razlike između odraslih mužjaka i ženki. Mužjak je krupniji i šarenijih modrozelenih boja a ženke su sivkasto maslinastih boja.
Između nedoraslih mužjaka i zrelih ženki gotovo da nema razlike u boji. Na leđima se ističe dugačka peraja koja seže gotovo do samog
repa. Rep je trokutast i bez ureza.
Raste do 44 cm duljine i oko 0,75 kg težine.
Lumbrak živi uz obalu na kamenitim dnima i dnima prekrivenim algama na dubinama od 5 do 50 m.
Najčešća hrana su mu crvići, rakovi i mekušci.
